I am committed to running a Site that doesn’t do anything to you that I wouldn’t want done to me. I carefully guard my own privacy, and I want to be able to enjoy the World Wide Web without worrying about popups, triggering an inflow of spam, the release to anyone of information I wouldn’t want released, or that my financial information could be compromised with the click of a button.

I want to deliver information, resources and services to you in the most efficient, helpful manner, and also in the least intrusive manner.

I sometimes collect information during your visits to understand what differentiates you from each of our millions of other users. We will not disclose it to any person or organization outside except as described in this Privacy Policy.

What I Collect and How I Use It

My site collects certain information from you in three ways: from Web server logs, with cookies, and directly from you.

Web server logs: When you visit my Site, I collect information so that I can better administer the Site and see how much and how it is being used, such as what pages you viewed, how many links you clicked within the Site, from where you linked to my Site, the name of your ISP and your internet protocol address, your state or Country, and when you visited.

Cookies: My Site uses cookies (i.e., small bits of text that our servers place into a file on your computer’s hard drive) to save your preferences and login information, and provide personalized functionality. You can reject cookies by changing your browser settings, but be aware that this will disable some of the functionality on my Site.

Personal information from you: If you register to purchase products or services through my site, or to sign up for email bulletins, my Site will ask for some personal information.

If you’re purchasing a product, electronic payments are processed through Paypal. I chose Paypal because I trust the service to keep your information safe, and it minimizes the amount of personal information I have to collect from you. To the extent I receive any financial information, it is used only to bill you for the products and services you purchased. If you purchase by credit card, this information may be forwarded to your credit card provider.

I may also ask you for your name, address, email address, or telephone number. I may then contact you with information about other products and services, or to assist you with technical support or troubleshooting. If you want to be removed from that list, just let me know and I will delete this information..

Any information I receive I use to make my site better and to assist you. I don’t share or sell any of your information to third parties for any purpose. You can opt out of receiving information from me at any time. I may also may provide summary statistics about our customers’ interests and preferences, products sold, traffic patterns, and related site information to reputable third parties to help me to improve my site. These statistics do not include personal identification information and are only used to enhance the design of my website and customize new product offerings to my customers.

I protect your information by collecting as little of it as possible in order to provide you with the products and services you are looking for. That’s why, for example, my Terms of Service requires that you don’t provide me with information through my Site about your particular situation. It’s not that I’m not interested – its that the safest way for you to tell me about your situation is in the security of my office, behind closed doors.

Who Has Access to your Information?

The only ways people I will share your information are: (1) duly constituted and acting public officials, but only if I am required by law to do so, (2) with other businesses that I own, (3) with my agents and contractors who assist me with the operation of this Site, and (4) with Paypal or a similar payment processing service, to the extent necessary to process electronic payments for products or services. I do not sell, trade or give your information to third parties for marketing purposes.

Links to Other Companies’ Sites

My Site contains links to sites maintained by companies that are not affiliated with me. I have no control over, and therefore cannot be responsible for, the privacy practices or the content of those sites. Be smart and check the privacy policy on any Site you visit.

Privacy Policy Changes

Although my general philosophy concerning your privacy will not change, changes in the law, or in the way I administer my Site, may require me to make changes to this policy from time to time. According to my Terms of Service, these changes are effective when the new policy is reposted, so whenever you use or visit my Site, be sure to check this page to make sure my policy hasn’t changed in any manner you don’t agree with. If any changes make you unwilling to continue to use my Site, please drop me an email so that I can address any concerns you may have.
